Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and cemetery is located on Stone Rd. just off of Washington Rd. and is the burial ground for some of East Point's early settlers. Originally a burial ground for members of the Thomas Hornsby family, The land was donated for the establishment of a church in the late 1800's or early 1900's with church member burials beginning shortly thereafter.

Plans are underway to clean and clear the entire cemetery of brush and to have the one room meeting house restored. Those with family members buried in this historic East Point cemetery may become involved by volunteering on work days and/or donating to the restoration fund. Funds are also accepted from non family members who wish to take part in preserving this piece of the city's history. To become involved or for more information call 770-923-4586.
